Last month, our Co-National Director Roksana Mun was the 2023 National Education Association Board’s AAPI Observance speaker. She spoke to their community of 200+ union leaders convening for the NEA’s quarterly board meeting, including the entire NEA Board of Directors and Executive Officers from across the country. Roksana uplifted the work of our 33 member organizations from across the country who are organizing to fight the effects of institutional racism on students in public schools and why we have to build power institutions in working-class Pan-Asian communities and what’s needed to transform schools into places where AAPI student feels safe, valued, included, and seen.
